OUR HISTORY
The beginnings of Artisans Canada Old Quebec
Since 1946, our company's desire is to offer magnificent products where the know-how of our craftsmen is honored.
Initially specialized in style furniture, the company directed by Mr. Adrien Racine had to adapt to the post-war era and offered clothes knitted on the spot.
In the 70's, Mrs. Céline Racine, daughter of Mr. Adrien Racine, took over the business and continued in the line of the "Fait à la main" by proposing a wider range of hand knitted clothing.
In 1997, the next generation took over the business and created the Artisans Canada boutique.
Under the direction of Thomas, Artisans Canada's mission is to showcase the talent of our art and fashion designers and to offer unique products made primarily in Canada.
It is with the same desire to promote our Canadian artisans and companies that we opened in 2011 three beautiful boutiques in the Marché Bonsecours in Montreal. Sara, Thomas' sister, is in charge of them.
In 2016, the Red Canoe boutique in Petit-Champlain was born and it was then a childhood friend of Thomas, Marc-André, who joined the team.
In the spring of 2019, our family expands again to make way for the Artisans Canada Old Montreal boutique; right in the heart of the historic district
