Hides in Hand

During the 1950s, the Halton Hills area was well known for the leather industry and its many fine glove makers and tanneries. The surrounding area offered top quality horse and cow hides, all with natural qualities perfect for making gloves and industrial garments.

During this time, Marzo Glove had been a successful manufacturer, supplying gloves/garments to workers in the hydropower and welding industry. In 1996 Marzo Glove restructured and changed its name to Hides in Hand. With the introduction of moose, deer and buffalo hides, Hides in Hand began designing fashionable hand wear. Soon after, they were approached by a moccasin company in Northern Ontario. She was withdrawing closed and were interested in their business to continue.
